Questions partners ask us
Who can be a partner?
Anyone who works with doulas: trainers, mentors, collectives, agencies and childbirth educators. For now, partners need to be in the US and paid through PayPal.
Does it cost anything to join?
No. Joining is free, and you don't need a DoulaSites website of your own.
What do the doulas I send get?
20% off their plan for as long as they keep it: $23.20 a month instead of $29, after the same 14-day free trial everyone gets.
How do doulas use my code?
They can tap your link, or type your code when they sign up or before they start their plan. Codes are short, so they're easy to share in a class, on a slide or in an Instagram story.
When do I get paid?
Your $40 is ready when a doula makes their second payment, about 44 days after their free trial starts. We pay everything that's ready on the 1st of each month through PayPal.
What if a doula cancels?
If they cancel before their second payment, that commission isn't earned. Once we've paid you, it's yours to keep, even if they get a refund later.
What can I see about the doulas I send?
Your partner page shows each doula's first name, the month they joined and when their commission is ready. Never their email, their site or their business details.
Do I need to say that I earn a commission?
Yes. The FTC requires it. Say clearly, close to your recommendation, that you earn a commission when someone signs up. The partner terms include wording you can use.
